Privacy of Children Online (COPPA Compliance)
MyFunRun recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of children, especially
those under the age of 13. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We are
committed to ensuring that any personal information collected from or about children is handled with the highest
standard of care and only with appropriate parental consent.
Personal Fundraising Web Pages
Each student participant may have a Personal Fundraising Web Page as part of their
school’s campaign. These pages may include identifying information such as the student’s first name, last initial,
class name, or a participant number, depending on the selected privacy setting.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. Schools or organizers are required to confirm that appropriate consent has been obtained from a parent or legal guardian before any personally identifiable information (PII) is submitted to MyFunRun for display or storage.

Privacy Level Options
To respect school policies and parental preferences, we offer customizable privacy levels:

- No Privacy: First name, last name, photo, and custom content. *Requires parental consent*.
- Low Privacy: First name, last name, and pre-approved content. *Requires parental consent*.
- Medium Privacy (Recommended): First name and last initial only, with standardized content.
- High Privacy: Anonymous participant number only. Schools provide their own participant IDs.
- Highest Privacy: No individual student pages—only class-wide pages with no names or numbers.
Schools may choose to omit specific students from participation or remove them at any time through the administrator Dashboard.
We collect only the minimum necessary information required to support the selected privacy level. No information
is collected directly from children. All data must be submitted by school administrators or parents.
Parental Rights
Parents and Guardians have the right to:
- Review any personal information collected about their child.
- Request that we delete their child’s information from our system.
- Refuse further collection or use of their child’s information.
Privacy of Donors
We do not sell or share donor personal information with any third parties.
All donor data (excluding credit card numbers, which are never stored) is accessible to the school via the secure
Dashboard. MyFunRun is a division of MyEvent.com Inc., an established provider of secure online fundraising and
event tools since 2002.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption and data security practices to protect all
information collected through our platform, including data associated with children under 13.
