🎉 Get Ready for Valinda's 1st Color Run! 🎉

This year, we're aiming to raise funds for student incentives, events, and fieldtrips we need your help! Any student who raises $10 or more will get the chance to join in on the fun at Valinda's 1st Color Run. Friends and family can donate online at: https://myfunrun.com/valinda.

What is the Valinda Color Run?

The Color Run is an awesome fundraiser where students who raise $10 or more can participate with a parent permission form. It's a vibrant track where students can walk, jog, or run through color checkpoints, getting splashed with colorful cornstarch on their shirts. This is our way of saying “thank you” to all the students who helped raise money for the Color Run Fundraiser.

What should I wear on the day of the COLOR RUN?

The cornstarch powder shows up best on white, so try to wear white, but any color will work.

Reminder, parent boosters will be selling special color run t-shirt on the week of the event!

Will the color ruin clothes, shoes, or the inside of cars?The color mostly washes out after the event. We suggest wearing items you wouldn’t mind getting colorful. If you want to preserve the color in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it. Bring a towel for the inside of cars, just in case!

DAY OF THE COLOR RUN:

Here are some useful tips for runners:

• Wear a thick scarf or bandana to cover your hair.
• Use a bandana to cover your mouth as you run through the color zones or to help wash off after.
• We suggest some form of eyewear like sunglasses or swim goggles.

Valinda staff and volunteers will be at the color zones to throw non-toxic colored powder during the race.
